Help rog swift with and card ?

Hey guys my friend is selling me is gsync rog swift for 450 cad so i cant say no the only thibg is can i play on it with my amd fury x without anysort of bug ? For sure gsync wont work right but can i use it normally without any issue and benefiting from the 144hz 1ms 2560x1440p display still?

The G-sync wont work but all the other features should work just fine. (Haven't heard anyone havning troubles with AMD cards so)

yes , you can still use it as a normal display

You can use it but I wouldn't suggest it at all.

You won't have ANY image scaling functions since the monitor does not have a hardware scaler built in (the Gsync scaler requires the Nvidia control panel to adjust monitor settings), and you will have limited ability to adjust color options as well.

 

it will just function as a 144hz monitor.  And is this the PG278Q or PG279Q?  There are TWO ROG Swifts.

 

There have also been reported issues getting Gsync monitors to run at 144hz on AMD cards, since (drumroll, please) they were designed for Nvidia hardware.  I don't know if this was addressed in AMD BIOS updates or in catalyst driver updates or not.

Before you jump on it, I'd check freesync deals on black friday. A new tn 144hz freesync monitor probably isn't much more.

I'm not sure with the Canadian dollar though, I could be wrong.
