Gtx 980 K|NGP|N vs 980ti reference

Hey guys so I am in the process of slowly upgrading my PC part by part and I got the the graphics card. I had my heart set on the 980 K|NGP|N once I saw it on EVGA B-stock for $430. I then went and found a 980ti reference from PNY locally for $490. I am at 1080p (inb4 overkill) but as soon as I have the expendable cash I am upgrading to a 1440p 144hz monitor. I guess my question is: Is it worth the extra $60 to get the 980ti. Could I overclock the K|NGP|N to match the 980ti? Am I being dumb and I should just get a different 980 on Bstock for 360? Any help would be appreciated and thanks a lot.

980ti. Period. It's just sooooo much better than a 980, even with massive OCing.

KPE is trash, FTW+'s are eve outclocking it.

 

It got terrible bins which is why they do sell so cheap.

They even suck for LN2.

 

Super hit or miss with the OC.

Get the 980 Ti.

No. Even the lousiest 980 Ti performs much, much better than a 980.

He's getting a 980 for dirt cheap, let him get the FTW.

not really, it needs a backplate or mem OC is a bitch and you should repaste it.
