Skyrim V question

Anyone there who's been playing for a long long time? Is magic better than weapons? (i`m playing mage in games) and i`d like to go for magic but i wanna be sure first..and if yes can someone give me a DPS build and wich skills to use etc?

Magic is worse than weapons due to enchantments being OP, also do you mean max dps?

If you're playing the game without mods, being a mage/spellcaster gets weak at high levels, compared to a melee / archer character.

 

Check the Skyrim Nexus for spell overhaul mods, to make being a mage more viable.

Depends on the kind of magic, conjuration can become very OP at a certain point, but the same can happen with one or two handed enchanted weapons.

Either way: yeah, you can go magic.

I played as a destruction mage and it was boring. At first it sucked balls because I was lacking MP. And then I crafted set witch reduces MP used to 100% when casting destructions spells. So I became OP and it was boring as well.

Yes then it gets worse at lvl 30+

It's my first time playing so i have no idea what to do .. so stick to  weapons?

Being an archer can be OP too, especially when you can sneak up on them and hit them in the head outside of their detection range !

Archery, or highly enchanted swords/armor, but honestly being OP is boring in skyrim, more fun to play on a legendary and have to use everything

if you have the dawngaurd dlc, you can get the crossbow, super good.

if its your first time playing, im gonna be honest, dont worry about being op, or trying to focus super hard on minmaxing your dps, or anything. just hop into the game and start playing.  you'll figure out what works best for you as you play. just enjoy the game

I've recently restarts playing as a mage, an I have found that fire is a nice one to go for, and let your follower deal with the flame atranochs, because they are immune to fire. But in the restoration skilltree, you can increase the magica replenish rate wich is nice.

So i`m still sticking to my question , what are the best destruction skills and the best skill tree for being OP as a mage?

If you play for long enough you won't actually be specialized any more since you'll have enough points to max out everything.
