Hello folks,

I decided to give away my old rig to my brother as a Christmas gift which is a 4790k build. I am sure as hell gonna miss it as it has served me well.

So I will be building from scratch another PC.

Some of the key components that I already have are as follows:

CPU: Intel Boxed Core I7-6700K 4.00 GHz 8M Processor Cache 4 LGA 1151 BX80662I76700K by Intel

MOTHERBOARD: MSI Computer ATX DDR4 Motherboard Z170A GAMING M9 ACK by MSI

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB SC+ GAMING ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card 06G-P4-4995-KR by EVGA

I am still not caught on the market choice regarding RAM and CPU cooler.

Here is what I need suggestions for:

RAM: ? ( Wouldn't go for more than 16GB unless I found some good 32GB for the price)

PSU: ? (preferably corsair. I got used to them. it's just a matter of how much watt is enough)

CPU Cooler: ? (preferably a very good water coolant since I will be overclocking the CPU quite a lot)

Monitor and case are already available so I wouldn't need any of those.

*NOTE* My budget is somewhat open but I wouldn't go as far as dominator platinums ram so i'm looking for stuff that are worth the price.

I personally have the Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (4x4GB) and i love them, and they werent that expensive.

I also sport the H80i GT on my 6700K and love it.

Intel Core i7-6700k | 2 X Gigabyte 4GB GTX 970 Overclocked Edition | 16GB (4X4GB) DDR4 2133MHz Corsair Dominator Platinum | MasterCase Pro 5

ASUS Z170 Deluxe Motherboard | 256GB Samsung 840 Pro + Seagate 2TB Storage | Corsair Hydro H80i GT | Windows 10 Pro 64bit | Corsair HX850i

If you do get a AIO, make sure its at least 240mm otherwise go for a high-end air cooler. Will be quieter and also cool better unless you plan on getting every last bit of juice out of your CPU.

CPU: i7 8700k   Motherboard: Asus Maximus Hero  RAM: 16GB @ 3600Mhz  GPU: MSI 980Ti 6G  Case: Fractal Design R5 (4 Intakes/3Exhausts)  Storage: Crucial BX100 SSD, Samsung 850 & Seagate 2TB HDD  PSU: Seasonic M12II Evo '850W'  CPU Cooling: Corsair H110i GT

RAM) I'd say get some HyperX Fury's, 2x8gb's and save up for 32gb's later. 16gb's seems to be the new upcoming trend for computers. 8gb is starting to get eaten up.

PSU) I'd say get a EVGA G2 750w or 850w. I forget how much power the 980ti takes, but keep in mind if you plan on SLI'ing that then get the EVGA G2 1000w or 1200w

CPU Cooler) Get the Corsair H100i GTX, or whatever the newer version was called. It's very nice. Or go for the H110i, it's 140mm fans instead of 120mm

nope. I would probably go straight like my old build. in terms of color scheme.

check attached

What are the specs of that? Looks really nice!

I'd pick up a Hue+ from NXZT to get the purple color customization, and as many white or chrome components as possible, since they will reflect the color from the LED strips.

Actually I changed quite a lot of things. which actually reminds me to update my original thread.

The monitors I was using were triple Dell S2715H

http://www.amazon.com/Dell-S2715H-27-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00M9B3S0W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448305164&sr=8-1&keywords=dell+27+inch+monitor

but now I removed one of them and put in a swift ROG asus monitor with Gsync.

The TV I use on top is a 4k TV used mostly for console gaming and watching news or TV shows.

I will update my topic soon so make sure you follow it.
