Best OS for gaming

Probably not much if at all, but windows 8.1 boots faster and windows 10 supports DX 12 so might as well go with it.

Get Windows 10.

Windows 10 would be the better choice in my opinion, mostly because of DX12.

I've done many fresh installs on 10, never had an issue.

Get 10 then you'll have a real key and won't be stuck with online account activation.
