Ranking/ELO System in CS:GO - Please Explain.

Hi all, so after a few hundred hours in CS:GO and the knowledge of the Elo system and roughly how it works, I'm curious as to how it places players into Skill Groups.

I know that it takes pretty much everything into account, your current Elo rank along with the opposing players' Elo ranks are as well. But is there any information about the range of the ranks or the "worth" of individual elements (kills, deaths, plants, assists, defuses etc.)?

Also, let me know what rank you guys are, and how many wins you have, if you are comfortable with doing so.

I myself am MGE currently, with 79 wins, I should be back to DMG soon, and hopefully I'll stay in there for more than a day this time...

Cheers!

The better you speak Russian, the higher you go. After MGE, you need to pass an Advanced Russian exam per rank up

Any knowledge of how that stuff factors in is probably rough at best. If Valve released info on exactly what factors are taken into consideration, and by how much, the game would drastically change as each player tried to play the game to maximize their elo gain. Just win games.

Australia for me, so I only get people without mics, throwers, and those that throw beer bottles.

Yeah, that's what I got from a video I watched quite some time ago, though knowing what the Skill Rank range is wouldn't influence people and how they play CS.

You've been doing good all day. You go into another match. Enemies are at your rank or higher. Your teammates are at your rank. Game either expects you to lose but by not much or win but by not much. You top frag, planted the bomb like 5 times, and you win by a lot. You rank up or more points are built up but, If you bottom frag, don't even place the bomb and lose by a lot, you lose points.

It's seems like an alteration to the True Skill system borderline every game uses.

Knowledge is power, guard it well.
