Planning a $500-$600 rig that i will build for my friend

So my friend wants to get into PC Gaming and he currently only has a PS3 and a standard laptop so I told him I can build him a PC and we decided on a budget of 500 to 600 dollars that he should have soon. 

He will pretty much play all the new games that came out and will come out he is also into editing. 

 

Here is what i came up with so far give thoughts and improvements :)

I Like that one but I would definitely swap the seagate for a WD black like i have on all 3 i came up with.

Third one, except swap the 960 for a 380, ditch the CX power supply for something else, and maybe fit an SSD in there? Its totally worth it :)

For build 3 if you want a good fairly cheap mATX case look into the cooler master n200. I got mine for 30$ after rebate and it's great plenty of cable management room and ample air flow

He is going to be storing lots of games and programs and the black is fast for a hard drive. A SSD is a easy upgrade in the future.

Yes i completely forgot about that case whoops. Heard good stuff about it.
