For that price I'd just spend the couple extra bucks and get the 650 watt EVGA G2 PSU which has pretty much a perfect score from Jonny Guru.

Link doesn't work for me, but I see GS550 in the URL. If it is the EVGA GS550W, then yes, it's a good PSU for that.

Yep.

@FixedDevice I thought you were going to link a CX power supply. You disappoint me, my son. I was expecting a topkek PSU :P that's actually a good PSU.

Hmm not sure man. Part list says I'm consuming 373 watts. Not lookin to spend more than I need. Thanks though. =)

Well if you're only using that much than go with the EVGA 600B it has a great rating by Jonny Guru (like 8.5+) and is super cheap, like <50$.

That's a great PSU for that.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I wouldn't pair an EVGA B1 series with a 380

He doesn't have a review on the 600B but he has one on the 500B and it has 8.7 out of 10- since they're the same series I'm assuming they perform similarly it's a pretty much perfect PSU.

He gave it a super high rating because of value. It isn't as good as a Seasonic M12 or anything like that yo. I really wish he didn't grade on value because that's what puts the Corsair HXi next to the CX and we all know how that doesn't make any sense.

"With the 500B, EVGA did pretty much what they set out to do - release a good, solid, no frills power supply at an affordable price. No, it doesn't have the performance of the Supernova units, but it really doesn't have to. That kind of performance costs money, and if you're shopping at the fifty bean level you simply cannot afford a world class unit. Units like this one are the next best thing. I'd like to see the Japanese capacitors used on at least the 5VSB output, but that remains my only major complaint right now. You could do a lot worse than one of these if all you have is fifty bucks to your name."

Value is important, it's performance at a good price- this thing performs very well and doesn't cost much. Hence it has great value.

Yes, it has great value and that is why he gave it high score. Making it have a better value doesn't mean it performs better. With that logic a Honda Accord would perform better than a fancy Mercedes. The Mercedes may be 30% faster for 70% more money, but that doesn't make it slower, it just means that it's less of a value proposition. It doesn't mean it can power a better system because it costs less money - that's assbackwards logic.

It's the perfect PSU for a 960 or 370 or whatever, but if he can afford a PSU that performs better and has more features then it makes more sense to buy one.
