Hello fine folk of the LTT forums! I am looking to upgrade my graphics card to play all the new fancy AAA games that have come out this November (Fallout 4), I've settled on a GTX 970. Now my decision is which one. I'm overwhelmed by the incredibly large list of board partners to chose from. Are there any major outlyers that take the cake? I don't care at all about power consumption. But, I will consider price to performance.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Have a wonderful day!

I'd say the g1 gaming, but it also cost more than most of them, so price to performance is likely the evga ones for 250 bucks

Well, if you haven't already bought Fallout 4, I think the choice is obvious. Even if you have, give the game to a friend who wants it :)

Eh, I plan on staying with windows 7 for as long as possible and don't plan on pushing higher resolutions any time sooner.

Also the option for gsync is nice.

Why stick with Windows 7? I tried going back and simply cannot do it.

I am lost why they didn't go for a Nuka cola theme or something else that fill better with the cooler. And why have all those holes anyway? Defeats the purpose of a back plate. Still cool though.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

That card doesn't come with Fallout 4, and will cost $400 after taxes. You can get the exact same card except with a regular backplate for $334 (after a $20 rebate) from newegg. You also get a choice of a game code from AC Syndicate or Rainbow Six Siege with the newegg card, which I don't think you get with the Best Buy Fallout 970.

I totally get buying the Fallout card though, I probably would if I didn't already have a 970 considering how much I love the Fallout series.
