1080p 24in V.S. 1440p 27in

iamdarkbowser

How does 1080p at 24in compare to 1440p at 27in?

Comparison of what?  Which specific models are you looking at?

The 27inch is larger has a higher resolution, and might have a slightly higher pixel density.  The larger monitor could weigh more.

Both listed measurements and resolutions are basically the best for their respectable classes. 24 inch panels are best at running 1080p since the PPI is a nice balance, and the same can be said for 1440p, though 1440p will obviously be sharper.

1440p has a higher pixel density. The equivalent to 24" 1080p would be 32" 1440p.

The equivalent to 27" 1440p is ~20.5" 1080p.

wow i didnt thought it was that much...32'' really?

27'' 1440p the text is indeed smaller than 24'' 1080p i noticed this right away but i tought 28 or 30'' would match it in ppi and text size :) wow...so the other day when we had this discussion about 25'' 1440p and you saying it was useable and not that small...it HAS to be very tiny text i find my 27'' 1440p to be quite small text i can only imagine 25'' seriously :)

25" is pretty similar to 27" in size, so the difference isn't really that much :P

maybe... :P

but for my old eyes i can tell you 27'' is already kinda small at times :) i'm getting too old!

side question: have you experienced 4K at 28''?! how does that looks like cause THIS seems like REDICULOUSLY small to me right?

Yes. 4K at 28" is pretty tiny, that one I'd have to agree is basically not usable for a normal person, without scaling.

the text will not be bigger on a 34'' ultra wide i believe brother...it's just wider, not really taller or anything...text will be the same size i think (?) ...pretty sure!

Ok :D glad i did not went with something like that...minimum for 4K? 32'' enough? 40'' ideal?

I'd say 32" is the minimum, personally. Even that's a bit small. But that's if you don't want to use scaling at all.
