Not Sure Which controller to get...

Hi, ive been a PC gamer for a few years now, and i was thinking about getting a new controller. However im not sure which one to get, am i better off going for a console controller such as the ps4/xbox one controller? Or should i go for something made specifically for pc like a logitech controller? My budget is about £50, and i would be using the controller mostly for racing/flying games.

I would get either the xbox one controller (and you can get a wireless dongle now)

 

or the wireless 360 pad for windows - its supported natively in windows, and work fully with steam etc

 

the PS3/4 controllers do work too but sometimes needs extra software etc where the xbox pads work 100%

What logitech controller are you looking at? I wouldn't even consider PS controller because of the analog position is uncomfortable imo so Xbone or even 360 controller gets my vote.

also the logitech f710 is okay, but the analog sticks are a bit . meh

yeah its natively supported in windows 10, and most games are designed with the xbox controls in mind with the xbox button prompts on screen

Most of the games I play either have Xbox controller support built in or are easily mappable.  Only one was specifically trailered to the PS4 controller..which was odd. There's always the classic 360 controller, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're doing lots of old school games since the D pad is trash.
