Maybe consider an i3, considering you've got an unlocked chip but a board you can't overclock on.

Web browsing, Microsoft office, Netflix. Nothing like gaming or video editing. 

That's not even close to what people refer to a workstation as, yes that's fine a laptop could easily run those tasks

Go for an i3. It'll last longer than a dual core and hyperthreading is nice.

Also, I tend to stay away from DIYPC. Haven't had great experiences with them in the past. Also, you can get a similar but nicer case for that price point.

I'd say an i3, or AMD "A" chip may be a better choice. gives you a few more threads to work with.
