Hey,

Will an AMD Radeon HD 7970 3gb(xfx r7970) run in crossfire with an Sapphire 7970 Dual-X ?

As long as the vram are the same. Correct me if I'm wrong.

no, AMD cards can crossfire between different models of GPUs, with different vram, and different processors

 

that requirement is nvidia only

no, that is not a requirement for nvidia

SLI works with cards with the same GPU core

vram doesn't matter, it just gets limited to the lowest card
