Entry-level build halppls

Lhn2787

What should I change, what did I do right, that sort of stuff. Are there any better options to go with? This is going to be my first build, and my budget is under $500. Thanks.

Hi,

id highly advise you to save 100$ more so you can get an i5 (pretty much gonna double your pcs cpu performance).

If not go for a used 7870, 7950 etc for under 100$ and a cheap motherboard to get to 500$.

I was just planning to get the minimum right now, and upgrade to something better every Christmas. I probably won't be getting another hundred any time soon.

Edit: I really like Dan's build, so I might just go with that. Thanks!

And yes, I probably will try to ask my dad if I could have one if his 1TB hard drives for free, so I'm not too concerned about that placeholder 500GB.
