use proper tools like CPUz or HWmonitor to see your real frequencies

I agree with Enderman here. Use third party tools to check hardware frequencies and temps.

I don't exactly know what causes this but I would imagine windows is displaying the defaults

of your motherboard rather than your current speeds.

I do, I actually use both of those programs and I perfer them greatly, but it just bothers me sometimes and I wish it would just work right.

yeah I know, w10 task manager looks pretty good, but sometimes its just broken and there are no fixes for it, so dont rely on it for overclocking at all
