Teamspeak 3 Server , Singlethreaded or multithreaded ?

Teamspeak servers honestly use such little power that you would be fine with either. I easily run a 10 person Teamspeak server off a VPS with 1 pretty weak CPU core and 512MB of RAM and it hardly uses any of the servers power.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

single threaded, and it uses very little so it honestly wont matter even if youre running other programs on the same thread

JHust get whatever is cheaper/uses the least power.

I run a 32 person teamspeak server off a quad-core atom processor with no problems..so.....yeah.

yeah for sure

just for the TS server right?

cause if you do other intensive stuff at the same time that will probably cause issues with your server

like no rendering or editing or intensive stuff like that

Nothing like that .I'm just trying to take some processing and on-time off of my tired sandy i5 , and remove some noise by removing pesky HDDs from my room . And if i ever decide to upgrade i'll throw it along with the mobo in a mom/grandma pc.

Thanks everyone

I run a 1,024 user TS3 server and a 512 user TS3 server... Neither RAM nor CPU is anywhere near as big a concern as bandwidth. The 1024 user TS3 ran on 2 cores and 4 gigs of RAM with no issue (it's on beefier hardware now but not because it needs to be) and the 512 is on 2 gigs of RAM with 2 cores.

This is the 512 user:
