4k Monitor

SoloDolo

So currently I am rocking a 2560x1080 monitor and it was a great monitor. I had been pairing it with my GTX 970 and it was a great fit, Now I have a GTX 980 Ti and I am kind of itching to jump into the 4k game. I currently have a 4k TV but its in the living room and for work needs I have my PC in the office next to the router, so pairing them would become very tedious as I would have to constantly be moving my PC.

So my question for you all is the upgrade worth it? Also is anyone using a single GTX 980 Ti with a 4k monitor and how is it working?

I know many say go to 1440p but I feel like its just that big of an upgrade from 1080. Sure it looks better but it feels less impressive than when I went from 720p to 1080p.

These are the monitors I am looking at.

I think the Dell seems to be the best deal by far, But Would it be smart to go with one of these or just wait till Cyber Monday and see if they can get cheaper.

have you tried it? its almost twice as many pixels as 1080p and is still quite a serious upgrade

4k is fine but there are still scaling issues, and you will not get as smooth a framerate as 1440p

ALSO you could get a 144hz 1440p screen for fast response rates AND sharper graphics

The P2715Q is definitely a great value for a 4k monitor, and a 980ti is good enough for just about everything outside of newer AAA titles maxed out. If you want 4k, I'd go for it. That's the cheapest I've seen that particular monitor new, so I don't think it'll be too much cheaper on Cyber Monday.

Don't forget about 1440p 144Hz monitors either, they're still a big jump from 1080p.

There is also this Dell 4k but its a TN panel. Think the extra is worth getting an IPS?

So crazy enough. After watching Linus I decided to roll with http://www.ebay.com/itm/311451859785#viTabs_0 and make the move to 3440x1440.
