I've tried the tutorials from the virtual academy, but the guys voice makes me want to kill myself. Regardless, where is a good place to start? I have very minimal knowledge about what I'm doing. All I really know how to do at the moment is make the console say stuff and have you reply to it (if it's a question) and have it say stuff back to you; but that's about it.

I did it through a program that teaches it as an extra-curricular thing.  No idea where to start though.  Java is a good language to start with, as they're quite similar IMO.  If you live in Canada, this is where I learned from: http://www.realprogramming.com/

Java is a good language to start with

Java is a good place to start if you have issues with starting C#

No, don't learn Java if you want to learn C#. That's silly. Learn C# if you want to learn C#. Besides, if you struggle with C# you'll probably also struggle with Java (and vice versa).

I'm saying if they have too much difficulty.  That's why I suggested the links above on learning C# as a better idea.  I probably just said that wrong.

It's not that it's difficult, I can understand it perfectly fine. I just don't like who I'm learning it from because, as said before, his voice is annoying AF.

Well, get ready for the Ultimate "C# Beginner's Guide"

A collaboration between me and @jubjub. We're making a beginner's guide to C# and will post it on the forum when it's done. Look out for it and I hope you check it out. It's a written guide so annoying/monotonous voices won't be an issue.  :)  It should be able to help even somewhat advanced C# programmers.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.
