64-Bit windows 8 pls

Jirne

So I made a mistake while installing windows 8. I installed the 32-bit version instead of the 64-bit. Derp.

So I've been searching on the internet how to upgrade. Nothing

And now I was thinking, let's just reïnstall windows 8 but this time 64-bit. Of course my W8 disc is 32-bit. And I can not find an iso for Windows 8 64-bit.

Does anyone here have a solution or a 64-bit ISO?

Thanks already!

Without 64bit ISO you cant install x64 version as name suggest. There is option to obtain the ISO, but that i wont say and you should figure out what i mean.

Or delete Windows and do a clean installation of Windows 64-Bit

Obtaining the ISO is legal via pretty much any method (including torrenting) but the 32 bit key won't activate a 64 bit copy.

The CD keys for Windows are very specific. You can't even transfer a CD key from one language to another.

If you have more than 4GB of RAM it does matter if it's a 32bit or 64bit. 32bit is not able to recognize more than 4GB of RAM

I wasn't able to transfer my danish Windows 7 key to a english version. It just said that the CD key wasn't matching my version of Windows. But apperantly the have changed that policy.

@Volbet: Weird, i don't know what Micrsoft is thinking sometimes. I once wanted to mail them about a problem with my windows 7 and they were like 'Okay, you can mail us, that's gonna cost you €72.00' And I was like , nope, never gonna ask you anything again, see ya microsoft support team! :p

back to the product key topic: My windows 7 Home Premium came with 1 key and 2 discs, a 32-bit and 64-bit. No joke, I have it here right next to me

Is that a windows 8 upgrade? if it is, the key should work for both. If it's an OEM, it should be a problem...

Can't you just download the 8.1 preview iso then update your product key once windows is installed?

You could torrent it and use a crack/keygen it would be illegal but ethical in my opinion considering you have bought a copy of windows 8 that wont be used.

select the 64 bit iso, dowload, install.

then update your key using

slmgr.vbs -ipk(insert your product key here)
