I have read the pc requirements and seen that the minimal recommended cpu is an i5 (dont remember if it was specific).  What do you think about Fallout 4 being able to run on a i3.

Before You Post!  I fully understand that you cant fully 100% know if it will or not, that will most likely be known after the release.  Dont even talk about magical crystal balls because i am just asking for what you think might be the case.  I personally have planned to get a i5-4460, but i am asking out of curiosity on what you think considering there may be a few of you who may know about pc recommendations and if they are acurrate.

Dont hate on me for asking on opinions.  Any good thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I believe it will have a hard time but should be able to do so with low object load distance (and settings in general), though your chip won't be happy about it at all.

I think you will be able to play it. maybe not with 60 fps steady but my friend has an i3 and it plays a lot of games very well when system requirements would indicate it shouldnt.

Yeah, i hear they are better than expected, however i myself am still getting a i5-4460.

Probably, I Think the requirments are a bit much. Unless the game is poorly optimized you should be fine.

I remember Shadow of Mordor recommending an i7-3770 and it turned out to be so strongly GPU bound so that a Sandy Bridge i3-2100 and an i7-4770k performed the same with a 780 Ti in Gamegpu.ru's benchmark. That would be cool if that repeated with FO4.

im just going to guess that it was capped at 100 fps, but thank you for the graph.  Also, 780ti is the sh- i mean pancakes.
