anti aliasing not working ! (gtx 970)

xWleed

hi

i have a problem with the GTX 970

any type of anti aliasing in any games are not working

I've tried 4xMSAA, with and without nvidia TXAA, and I tried that combo with FXAA on and off as well

but in most areas the jaggies are still very bad almost like there's 0 anti-aliasing (especially the far areas) and I don't really understand it

my card is new , i tried different monitors

i am on the last driver 358.50

i will post some picture very soon

please help me

yeah, check your screen resolution cause that's impossible.

First thing I'd be doing is a driver reinstall (another version tho) and also using DDU after the uninstall to move leftovers,....then testing a game that has inbuilt AA options (not forcing it via NV control panel)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

BF3 is not that much noticeable

but it's on ultra setting , it's should be gone completely

Video looks like normal 1080p to me. Use VSR DSR or get a high resolution monitor.

Strangely enough this isn't the first time someone has reported this on a 970. This is pretty dejavu. Reinstall drivers using ddu. Set 8xmsaa to see if there is any difference.

Higher res would likely help you. I may be wrong but this seems like a case of just not having enough pixels.

Turn your settings down a bit and use 1440p DSR. It's a tradeoff between eye candy settings and sharpness/less aliasing; the latter is much better IMO.

no, 1440p is Quad HD (QHD)...it's four times the standard HD resolution which is 1280x720...and 1080p is called ''Full HD''...just saying :)

...oh and of course 4K is Ultra HD :)

It's a clear fact of the resolution

2560x1440 is 1440p

And the big number is 2.5k

It's not a matter of me saying so it's just a fact

Google it before you try and tell me what's what

WQHD (2560x1440)

QHD (Quad HD), also advertised as WQHD[29] due to its widescreen shape, or 1440p,[30] is a display resolution of 2560x1440 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has four times as many pixels as the 720p HDTV video standard, hence the name.

People say 4k instead of uhd all the time,

4k,2.5k and 2k monitors and just the names of the bigger numbers

And the only reason I mention this in the first place was because op said he didn't have 2k screen, which he does

i bought this card for 1080p ultra setting

i don't want to use DSR and turn down some setting .. i rather to stay like that
