So, I'm getting 30 fps in CS:GO. I have an MSI laptop, it has a NVIDIA GTX 960M, a core i7, and it's just over a month old. I have been getting around 180 fps in game but all of a sudden its giving me 30 fps. I was getting better fps on my old laptop which didn't even have a real graphics card. It's really frustrating and I have no idea how to fix this.

why would that matter?

Because that will cap the fps?

Edit:

If it's enabled it will cap the fps ofcourse.

How would I do that?

Open Hardware Monitor. You can see the load, temperatures and clockspeed of your CPU and GPU (and much more). Or you can install MSI Afterburner and enable the OSD.

Try changing the power management. Can't see why that would make such a bigg difference but who knows.

Yeah idk, my friend said it's a nvidia thing.

 no...

Your computer has a requirement in watts, the battery can only supply so much whereas the charger can supply more. So it's the Battery/watts, not branding.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
