Well i got my arc mini r2 yesterday and i want to mount a bottom fan in the system but i would need a psu thats 160m160mm or shorter and the one i was going to go with was the evga supernova p2 750w but its far too long :(. But i seen the corsair ax760i was short enough same efficiency but was wondering if it was a good psu or not.

Tier 1 (Best)
Antec - High Current Pro, High Current Platinum, EDGE, TruePower Classic
Be Quiet - Dark Power Pro P10
Corsair - AX, AXi, HXi, RMi
Cooler Master - V-series (fully modular)

Enermax - Platimax
EVGA - G2, P2, GS, PS

Fractal - Newton R3
LEPA - G1600
Seasonic - G, S12G, X, Platinum, Snow Silent
Super Flower - Leadex
XFX - TS Gold, Pro Gold, Pro XXX, XTR

Pick the cheaper models, as gold and platinum are about the same (very slight effcientcy difference) except warranties for platinum tend to be longer

Also your psu is on this list

https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/ Tier Breakdown (My understanding)--1 Godly, 2 Great, 3 Good, 4 Average, 5 Meh, 6 Bad, 7 Awful

Pro tip: Dont buy corsair PSU

Why? Because they brand the CX series or something?

Sure, a lot are expensive, but it doesn't change the fact that the AX (Seasonic OEM) units are fantastic quality.

@OP Have you had a look at the GS series from EVGA? 80+ Gold, but very good quality.

GS series is modular. Cablemod do full sets for them I think.

Eh, for sleeving the G2 is better as more companies support cables for it. @magicammo I would get an EVGA G2 with the wattage that you need.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Are the g2 under 160 mm?

Nope, sadly. I do believe the GS is 150MM or something like that. I own the GS and it's really small.

See if Cablemod etc has the custom cables for the GS then go ahead with the GS.

No it's definitely not...

Oh wait, why are you looking at such high-wattage models? A 550W would power your 4790k and 980 with 200W headroom...

for future upgrades I'm thinking about making a custom water loop in the case later on with two GPUs but as of right now I think I'm going to go with the Corsair Ax760 I I see that a lot of people used to them and higher and builds

It's a good PSU but pretty expensive. Anyways, good luck with your PSU stuff!
