Alright so I'm looking to replace my first PC with a new one, preferably made for gaming. So I wanted some help as to the parts that I should buy; my budget is $550 or under, I'll only go about $5-10 over that. My color scheme is preferably Black/Red, Red, White, or White/Blue. I'd like to be able to use a mini tower with no water cooling, but if it stays within the budget I'm game, (get it?) I have one monitor that I use but I do plan on making this into two monitors once I get enough money. I also would like to use windows 10 on this, and I have all of the peripherals that I need (gaming mouse, keyboard, and headset) Please help, thanks!!

Im at work on my phone so I cant get a partslist but for $550 youre being a little optimistic about what youre going to get. Id completely throw out the ideal of a color scheme and water cooling. Unless you want to get used parts that is.

Agreed, and instead of getting a second monitor I would just save the money and upgrade the CPU or GPU.

Thanks for the recommendations, I think that a color scheme is definitely just a want that I have, I don't mind if it doesn't stick to what I asked. If I can get a good PC I don't care

To be honest $550 isn't going to be that good. I would still wait and save a little longer, especially if you have a job where you can get some money decently fast.

To be fair some of the builds people are posting with i5's and 380's look pretty solid, these systems are by far no slouches when it comes to performance. Are they enthusiast builds? No definitely not but they will still perform amazing for gaming.

That CPU is way to expensive for a $550 gaming rig and the GPU isn't strong enough. I'd downgrade the cpu and upgrade the GPU

Yes that is true but I am aiming to get all of this for Cyber Monday when it rolls around so almost everything will be a lot less

You should definitely make another thread when cyber monday rolls around, there will be a ton of people looking to build their budget builds then and these particular parts might not even go on sale while others may.

A dual core pentium of today has better IPC than the 8 year old cpu.

For that price you could get the best i5 out there, or the xeon 1231 v3, that is practically an i7

so it is a bad cpu for today, let alone brand new. Used for 80 usd, it would be a good deal.
