So I'm building a new PC, I've built many PCs before btw. Anyways give me any opinions on this build such as how it would do in GTA 5 ultra settings and other triple A titles such as the Witcher 3, along with anyways to make it cheaper and if all parts work well. Here it is https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mullen/saved/#view=8RwQzy Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.

The 980 doesn't make much sense anymore, I would either go for the R9 390/x or the 980Ti if you can survive the price jump.

Also, please don't go with Corsair CX-series. They have a bad reputation.

Sig under construction.

You could save some cash on the headset, or monitor. My personal opinion is that you don't need the money for a 144Hz monitor unless its for comp FPS games like CS:GO or COD. And if you dropped to a 60Hz monitor, you could probably go to a 970 instead of a 980 as well.

You also don't need the H97 PRO 4 motherboard for the 4460. You could get away with these: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-h97anniversary https://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-b85pro4

Also, I would switch the PSU if you can, the CM series aren't really meant for a system with constant power draw that high. Even if it is rated for 600 watts.

This list, B85 because you don't really need H97 and you can upgrade to win10 from win8.1 so you can save some there.

I'm actually not new to the forum I just left for a few months and when I came back I couldn't remember the password for the email I used to reset my password when there was the security breach. Other than that I'll look at changing my psu because a lot of people have suggested that.

Yeah, I'm thinking of switching out the headset, I only added it because I need a  new headset and I didn't know any others so could you recommend a cheaper reliable headset that is a good price and has a good mic. As for the monitor, I added it because as you said if is for CS as it is 144Hz and it has 1ms response time. Also, I've heard that once you go to 144Hz you can't go back.

Then I wouldn't change those two then. 144Hz really does make a difference for FPS games.

It's a good headset and I use it, but they do have a cheaper model that only uses stero sound, but it's only like $10 cheaper. Good news is that either headset go on sale pretty frequently, so getting either for cheap isn't all that hard.

Don't be fooled by the bottom line of my sig, that is just for my travels.

So you're telling me that Gaben is no God? Enough of your foolishness.

My hardware you ask? I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3217 Notebook... With an LG 25UM57.
