Stream? With an i3?

nope.

pretty much this. Even with an i7 my streams will take up to 40-60% of my cpu usage.

I am open to amd

if they can give me quad core then fine.. .

You would be better off with a A8-6600K apu and I've seen people stream with the first gen quad core and it did good so this shall work well.

I don't really understand why he doesn't want AMD gpu. Much better options for him.

@Lil Chillbil Best I can do from Intel. Otherwise he will need a 6300+ http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1tdV6

note this build is somewhat flawed by combination of i5k and H77 chipset, pick a different mobo im tired cba. If he's going to stick to prejudices, it will work but in overall ability @CoolBeans' build is pretty much superior aside from CPU. lol @ him getting all AMD

Is 6 cores enough for you?

you have to save the list, and then send us the permalink. But if you're building a streaming pc I would definitely recommend an AMD processor. It really comes down to what you are streaming as well but 9 times out of ten an AMD cpu is better for streaming. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/RectangularBox/saved/2cbo is what I came up with

For a little bit more you could grab a fx-6300 and you should be fine for streaming

Personal experience: you cannot stream for 600€... My pc is anthlon x4 at 3.4ghz, gtx 650 Ti, 8 gb ram and I had plenty bandwidth and achieved a 10-20 fps gameplay/streaming League of Leguends, which is rubbish, I play at 60 stable maxed out and that was with minimal graphics and 720p.

If you want to stream a proper game you need something powerful... (If you want to stream minecraft, cube world sims or something like that you can manage, but don't plan on streaming bf3)

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

i think he means a separate pc exclusively for streaming.
