Where to buy Nintendo (Poke'mon) Games?

TL;DR

Pretty much the title, just looking to buy all of the Gen III and IV games.

Hi all, so after finding my Poke'mon Ruby cartridge and some talk about AS which one of my friends has, I've gotten back into Poke'mon, and I've decided to pretty much buy all of the Gen III and Gen IV games, all the way from FireRed and LeafGreen to HeartGold and SoulSilver.

I lost pretty much my whole set of Nintendo GBA and DS games except Ruby and SoulSilver which were in my DS Lite and DSi XL respectively.

So, I was wanting to know where I should go to buy these games, and if you want suggest a couple of other GBA games I should play.

At the moment I'm just looking at eBay, and considering FireRed and LeafGreen for $25 total (same seller, no postage, and just the cartridges and a small plastic container). On the other hand I could buy the Gen III set for however much in a bid (there's 5 of the same order from one seller).

I'd personally like to get them from a decent Specialist Store, but $20 a piece is not so nice.

And yes, I realise I'm pretty much buying the same games (FireRed - LeafGreen, Pearl - Diamond), I just want to have a nice collection and be able to play through them all.

I could alternatively buy them from EB Games (Aus version of GameStop).

Cheers!

Just because, these are the games I had before losing the case that held all my DS and GBA games.

FireRed

Ruby

Pearl

Platinum

HeartGold

SoulSilver

eBay and craigslist are probably your best bet just make sure you don't end up with a chinese copy or a fake copy.

That's why I'm looking out for, only ones that are listed as Brand New and from inside Australia.

There are so many fakes now so just make sure you have clear photos of them before you buy

From both sellers, they seem fine, but of course looks can be deceiving.

The individual FireRed and LeafGreen games come with a 30 day guarantee, with the 5 Gen III sets having a 2 week turnaround.

$20 a piece is bloody cheap try $40-70 each here

Huh?

That's probably double what I got them when they were new...

And the NZD is pretty much the same as the AUD.

Cash Converters online.  I managed to get Platinum and Heart Gold for about $20 a piece.  Best place to pick them up I think, less risk than ebay for ending up with a fake GBA copy as they'll usually post a picture of the actual physical cartridge and case.  Not to mention better availability and prices compared to preowned at EB games.  Best to camp out on the site for a few weeks and look for the games you want to show up and bid on them unless you get lucky and find a buy it now.

Edit: Pearl is up there at the moment along with a whole bunch of the 4 Black and White games.

Awesome mate, thanks very much for that.

$23 for Pearl seems alright, I'll keep a lookout on CashConverters too.

Hmmm, there's EB Games in NZ right?

Surely they shouldn't be that much in there.

Honestly the best pricepoint. When I was looking for them at EB there were sometimes more expensive than they were when they were new, if you could even find them.  I wish Nintendo would get their heads out of their butts and stick the older games up on the eshop.  I mean they have a lot of the older Mario and Zelda games up there, why the hell not Pokemon, they'd making a mint seeing how difficult it is to find physical copies these days...

Yeah, doesn't really make sense, I might grab the Gen IV games, along with a 3DS, OR or AS, and possibly X or Y from a somewhat sneaky way through EB Games.

I'll just see if I can get the Gen III set for under $50, and if not then I'll look around for Sapphire and Emerald and buy the FireRed and LeafGreen ones from eBay ($12.50 a piece).

Have you got a link to an ebay auction?ill buy them right now haha

Sure do, there are 23 and 14 of FireRed and LeafGreen Respectively.

LeafGreen: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/POKEMON-LEAF-GREEN-for-GBA-or-DS-Lite-NEW-AU-SELLER-SUPER-FAST-POST-/291594546750

FireRed:      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/POKEMON-FIRE-RED-for-GBA-or-DS-Lite-NEW-AUSSIE-SELLER-FAST-POST-/291594545705

They aren't auctions, but rather "Buy Now"s. Which is a lot better imo.

Ahhh, I guess.

Well, I didn't end up getting them, but thanks for the notice.

I think these ones from this random lad are not fake (no negative feedback in relation to it), and equal out to less than $12 each (47.50 AUD).
