Asus strix - weird noise

Hello. My card is Asus Strix 980 TI. When i launch a game for a first few seconds my card making that noise:

 

 

 

 

After maybe 5-6 seconds noise is gone when fans ramps up to higher speed. I dont know what to do now. Thx

This is only on low fan speeds.

If you're running without v sync during the intro of a game your GPU can make all types of funny noises when it's rendering 1000+ frames per second.

Stop the fans with your hand - if it goes away - it's them. else it's fine

It doesn't matter what card - Strix cards usually have coil whine. It's the most common card to have it

Every 2nd Strix card has it Even DC2/3 have it. Asus are the kings of coil whine.

Then get an EVGA or Galax one - the Galax LN2 edition is overbuilt to the extreme - 20+ power phases IIRC

For some reason alot of coil whine for strix cards... two of my friends had same problem. Good thing MSI doesn't seem to have this problem and it cheaper lol.

Try the card in a different system. This is the fifth time you've made this topic. Stahp already.

Neither of my Strix whine, both of my MSI Tis and the Gigabyte G1 did. It's completely luck of the draw, any anyone else saying otherwise is talking bullshit.

I was looking to buy a 980 Ti STRIX and every time I seen a discussion on it there is always talk of coil wine, I decided to go with a different brand because of it.

Your loss. The topics about coil whine are spammed by the same person.

Any card can whine, it's also dependant on other components in your system such as the PSU.
