Computer won't sleep

So every time I go to put my computer into sleep it will stay in sleep for about 5 min then wake back up at random. The mouse is off and nothing hits the keyboard

i had an issue where my computer went to sleep and did not wake up,  it got fixed when I flipped the clear cmos switch on the mobo

Have you over clocked at all?? 

Ik that sounds weird but some of the power saving features that you may have disabled while over clocking can affect sleep..

For a noob what is that switch thing

I have an asus p8z77, I am assuming a sabertooth has the same layout. It is a switch on the bottom right hand side of the mobo and it looks like this

move the rectangle thing from one side to another for 5 seconds and then return it

You can execute a sleep diagnostic with Windows 7 and 8.

Simple open the command prompt as true administrator (Start > type: cmd > right-click and select: run as administrator)

Then type:

 

cd c:\powercfg -energy

 

A file called energy-report.html will be created in C:\ root folder.

Check that the Wake on LAN is disabled in the bios and go to your network adapter properties and check that Shutdown Wake-On-Lan is disabled:

I used to have those problems in my old pc... I just hit the case lightly and BAM it would turn off
