I was wondering if one Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming  can run games like Battlefield and up coming Battlefront at 1440p 144hz. Thanks

if my overclocked GTX780 can do it fairly easily, i would assume a GTX980ti should do it flawlessly.

The 980ti is defenetly a card aimed for 1440p gaming as it's not quite enough for 4K on it's own (IMHO, and when it comes to gaming 1440p @ 144hz Gsync is better than 4K 60FPS no Gsync anyways, hands down) but certainly massively overkill for any games at 1080p.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |
| GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC  RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz |

Fark I am struggling to remember what the avg FPS was - something in the 90s on my overclocked Ti with all settings maxed, 1440P.

If someone's getting 144 at these settings it has to be some kind of multi GPU setup as Mik pointed out.

so you say that you can tell enough difference between 60 fps and 90 fps or whatever to warrant for purchase of expensive 144hz monitors?

between 60 and 90FPS...yes defenetly, it's A LOT smoother at 90FPS.

But honestly, between 90FPS and 144FPS...no i can't...there is not much more smoothness to get beyond 90FPS to be honest but the jump from 60 to 90FPS is ENTIRELY worth it...especially with Gsync enabled.

I have a 980ti and I also got about 90 fps across the three maps available. So you will tell the difference. And my card is a bad overclocker. I can only get it at 1440.

Main rig: Shockwave - MSI Z170 Gaming 7 MOBO, i7-6700k, 16GB DDR4 3000 MHz RAM, KFA2 GTX 980ti HOF, Corsair RM1000 PSU, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD, WD 7200RPM 3TB, Corsair Air 540 White, ASUS P278Q 1440p 144Hz display.

Laptop: Lenovo Y510p, i7-4700HQ, 12 GB (8+4) 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, GT755 2GB SLI graphis card, 1366x768 display.

I meant Battlefield 4. Didn´t check the FPS in the Battlefront "Beta", i was to busy laugh at this ridiculous AT-AT Mode.

Oh - that's a different story. Battlefront likes AMD a LOT more than Nvidia for some reason - talking a 280X pushing close to a 970

1 980ti should be enough for 1440p 144hz if you don't crank everything up. Just don't expect a constant 144fps unless you are playing an easier to run game or are running at medium settings on a newer game.

Current PC: Origin Millennium- i7 5820K @4.0GHz | GTX 980Ti SLI | X99 Deluxe
