GTX 980ti Classified or GTX 980ti Lightning

Do you think I should get two GTX 980ti Classified or two GTX 980ti Lightnings, they are both the same price.

Meh of the two probably the Classified so you have access to EVGA's customer service.

As far as I'm aware neither card's GPUs are binned - I've been reading people reporting ASICs in the 5x% and low 6x% range for both cards, which means you're going to be playing the silicon lottery just like anyone else.

they are both great

both quiet, both overclock like hell, both have a ton of power phases, and both look good

only difference is that EVGA has a longer warranty and is a bit louder

so basically just choose the one that better matches your system for looks

 

there is no noticeable difference in benchmarks, that will just depend on how lucky you get when overclocking

The yellow does not match my build, however I really wanted a Copper heatsink, I know both options are not copper (cannot get the Kingpin in the UK) starting to go towards two Classifieds

Then definitely go for the Classified card, it'll OC much better than the Lightning and has a good cooler to boot

You can get the Kingpin in the UK - you have to order it from EVGA direct, and agree to their specific RMA policy for the card.

It's in stock so if you really want one, do it.

I mean retailers, Newegg has it but I cannot find any retailer in the UK, I do not want to import it from the EU

The Lightning is better in terms of heat dissipation, it will run cooler and might overclock further despite people claiming the Classified having a better chip.

My vote goes for Lightning.
