Password locked SD card

Hello guys! I lost my 4GB SD card a while ago, I found it again.

But there's a password on it which I don't know anymore. How do I remove of change the password?

1. Why would you put a password on an SD Card?

2. It may be encrypted, so you may not get anything off it without the password!

you can't remove it as far as I know. But why password protect your SD card?

Sounds more like "hey i found a random SD card or stole it, but there's a password and IDK how to get it off"

and this is the reason why i encrypt my sd card on my galaxy, just in case if i lose it or have it stolen

i don't think you can reset/wipe the password without losing the data on the SD card. it's the risk of password protecting it i guess

example: if you have your phone password protected but the sd card is not encrypted than anyone can just take out the sd card and access the information any where else.

Maybe try accessing it with the \tree command in cmd .

I had something like this and then I realized the "lock switch" was on, if yours has one try sliding it then trying again.

Unless the card is very old you should have no trouble remembering the password for it, The other day clearing out the loft I found a box full of stuff I had as a child (must of packed it and never bothered opening it), inside was an old electronic file-o-fax and I could still remember the login for it
