I'm not looking for a tutorial or anything, I've just always been interested in hacking and how it works, it's just hard to find anything online that isn't right click, inspect element lolooloolol.  What kind of tools, code, etc. is used to hack websites.  I know a decent amount about how the internet works, data is stored on servers which have an ip address which is accessed by a browser.  How do people go about changing data that is on a server, because isn't it all compiled and in the form of binary or bit code?  How owuld somebody find what they are looking for and change it?

I can help with programming and hardware.

I dont think you will not get any Help for hacking on LTT.

Install Thor and visit the Darknet. Be prepared though. Maybe you find sick and disquisting stuff there.

been on the darknet, never again, NEVER.

Depends on the method.  You have script kiddies/bunnies who download tools to be annoying, and then you have the other kinda hackers who make the tools for either malicious intent or to test weaknesses in things like security to help companies and others improve where needed.  You can do just that through the command prompt.  I mean it isn't as interesting as the movie Hackers.  It doesn't work in anyway close to how you see it on tv.  It's really nothing more than manipulation of code.

I know that, not expecting to type in a bunch of pings and look at my window and see an explosion.  I've just always thought it was interesting

this is a pretty grey area of the CoC. while on one hand there is a nonillegal side of hacking, a lot of the stuff youre asking about is illegal, and a lot of the stuff that could be linked to you would be against CoC here... what i am willing to say is, if youre interested in coding, then check out this book. theres a lot of relevant information to what youre looking for.

I'm sure he meant tor.  However, tor is monitored by the US Gov.  If you use anything other than CMD that isn't yours, then you are script kiddie by the way.  Learn to program, and you'll understand.

And, don't do anything malicious.

Yeah I know that.  I am an intermediate programmer, but just learning about webapps.  don't intend on staying a script kiddie, I just used tor to check out the dark web, i had never seen it before.

The US Gov. can kiss me where the Sun dont shine.

But there´s no need for me to use Tor anymore. There is so much sick subhuman filth, the normal Internet is crazy enough for me.

Well, you can thank silkroad and assasins and even other criminals out there for that.  It's exactly why all three[FBI/CIA/NSA] are watching it.

There is ALOT of documentation available for the mANY MANY tools on that linux distro.

if you speak german, then there's an awesome youtube channel, which educates on Metasploits, zero day, viruses and so on. If you want to mess around with accessing a computer, then you could get a raspberry pi for instance to mess around with or try things like Wireshark (a wifi sniffer). In a private environment only of course. You could also get into Capture the Flag (often abbreviated CTF). This is an awesome "sport" where Teams try to hack one or each others computers which are deliberately filled with security holes. I'm doing at my Uni, and it is ridiculously fun.

Just so you know, the FBI, CIA, and NSA...keep a very close on tor users.  So, be safe when using that for that.  Your best option is to learn to manually manipulate code.  Play a game on SP, and use the console of the game to find commands that make the game do things it isn't supposed to.  Make a webiste, and learn how to manipulate it with code.  Manipulating your own programs or a game on sp like l4d isn't malicious.  But, that is hacking.

What is SP and l4d?
