So having read up on fan coloring, it seems universally agreed upon, that dyeing is a superior way compared to painting.

However despite having found a guide on OC3D (http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=35185), I still haven't a clue on how to take the fan apart. The guide seems to deal exclusively with the aftermath. Has anyone out there successfully dissembled a noctua fan, and have or can take some pictures or give a few pointers?

only some of them can be disassembled

if there is a tiny round magnet or c clip on the fan hub then you can, otherwise you will break the fan trying to remove the rotor

Which ones?

look under the sticker and see if it is solid plastic or there is something you can remove

Never Mind. On their website it says they're not supposed to be taken apart.

They wouldnt run as good as before, unbalance because of the paint. Its not recommended and will void your warranty.

I successfully hacked 127.0.0.1! Now I cant turn on my computer :/

It doesn't have anything to do with the rear magnet but there is a lock-ring underneath the bearing. It sits on the inside of the bearing and can not be accessed from the rear side (all Noctua fans are closed on the rear side in order to seal off the bearing). Due to the lock-ring, it takes a lot of force to pull out the rotor, you will usually end up breaking either the rotor or the frame. Even if you manage to do it, you will ruin the top sealing of the bearing: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=faqs_single&faqs_id=61
