Corsair CX750M causes shutdown and ANTI-SURGE

Hey guys!

I just my new computer, and it works perfectly! (self build)

So here my specs:

Intel i7 4790k

Corsair h110i GT

Asus MAXIMUS VII Ranger

Samsung PRO 840 - 256 gb

MSI R9 390 - 8GB

Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB

Corsair MX750 PSU

NZXT h440

I was playing dota 2, and suddently the computer shutdown. It started to spell rly burned, and my screen said something with anti-surge from asus. And i should enter BIOS to change something. Should i be concerned, or is this just once in a life time?

Well you difenetly shouldn't have gone with a CX for that build.... Might be the PSU.

Ur CX is slow roasting your computer, get a new power supply.

I guess you can consider a once in a life time thing, since it will be the last time your computer turns on.

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

Sounds like the PSU fried, the CX series is notorious for it. You better hope it didn't fry the rest of the system with it.

Yeah....I think I got lucky with my CX850M-its got some build quality behind it. The CX750M however, not so much: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=416

The PSU could still be having issues however. Don't trust it and get it replaced ASAP.

I always like going to the PSU posts because it's fun to see everyone say don't buy Corsair and inevitably someone links that video and I feel obligated to watch it because its funny.

That wattage would be cutting it extremely close. For 390 I'd take 650w as a minimum.

Uhhh....no. That's a bad PSU even if it had a high enough output.
