Am i weird?

For some reason when i look for a female partner looks come second... I somehow find personality and character to be much more attractive.

Now i'm actually quite good looking and could get away with having some super hot ass... But i seem to never get the personality to go with it :/

My past ladies have been beautiful as a person... I seem to see differently?

I'm 6ft just under 14 stone which is around what 180 pounds? Ectomorph build with good muscle mass due to working out since 18... Now 25.

Yet with what is good looking i find myselr more attracted to your average female... Heck been close to going under that level.

I guess i find somethings imperfect to be perfection?

To be honest I think you're normal, it's not all looks, but it does certaintly help a little but as you said not first.

You would be surprised what friends you lose based on looks if your partner... Obviously not real friends... But look at the day and age we live in.

To asnwer the question, no, you are not weird.

Looks is only one aspect of what we look for in a partner with whom we want to reproduce. 

Firstly, we want to have good genes, so that the offspring will be as healthy as possible, and we want our partner to be able to take proper care of the child after it's born.

Both looks and personality plays a role.

Sounds like demisexuality. It means you have to be emotionally connected before you build physical attraction.

Looks don't come "second" contrary to what you think. You probably never even consider some females or even evaluate their personalities if they're not attractive to you.

 

Don't get me wrong I'm sure that given the option of chasing a really good looking girl that's kind of annoying and such and an ok looking girl that's really nice and fun you'd go for the fun girl even if you're more physically attracted to the hot, annoying girl.

 

However I seriously doubt you'd go for like a girl that's extremely unattractive just because she's nice. Because if that's truly the case, then what's stopping you for going after a male, or worst a male you find kinda gross? He'd be super extra nice and really click with you for sure but if attraction was not required at all then you're limiting yourself to 50% of the population no?

Well unless you're asexual then sexuality is always part of the equation when choosing a partner isn't it?
