AMD 8350 vs 9370

Xeons are generally better, you can get a cheaper motherboard for it.

I own enough Intel Procs and my friends 8350 does soooooo much better in Audio and Video work than my Xeon does. Thats why I want to go with AMD with this build.

Because that Ram could actually be your issue here. Don't expect to be rendering a whole lot if you don't have the RAM for it.

Xeons are still better. Even if you're a hardcore AMD fanboy like me, I still suggest an Intel processor. They whip ass.

The usage stays at 100% all the time while working on audio and my friends 8350 sits at 80-85% so it doesn't slow his computer to a crawl

But is it doing the tasks as fast........because remember, a lot of the time only 1 of the ALU in each module can actually be at any 1 time due to the shared resources.

If you've decided completely for amd get a 8350-8370 and overclock it to a 9370. It'll save some money because a 9370 is just an overclocked amd 8350.

You'll need a good 990fx motherboard.

If 8xxx Vishera ones are any good now...the older 8xxx Vishera CPUs were higher binned so you could reach 5GHZ more easily. 8xxx Vishera ones are lower binned since the higher binned ones are the 9xxx.

FX-8350 is fine but make sure you get a 6+2 board or better, also the stock cooler is loud during load just a warning! (stock works but loud!)

Ehm nope. Only certain programs work like that. Many other software suites uses all 8 "cores" and in those programs the FX is way faster.

Those are just numbers they don't mean anything unless you can get me benchmarks with the applications I use (and support skylake, my audio suite doesn't support skylake). Also I am not spending extra on ddr4 also the 8350 has better price to performance than the 6600k
