Why is LTT uploading videos in social medias?

they would lose views/viewers from youtube.

they need views in youtube, right????

i mean, like me, i tend to not watch those videos in youtube which i already saw in facebook..

why?

They just want their content to be viewed - it's like marketing really.

Wow, why would they do that? We shouldn't allow Facebook to be a video platform like Youtube.

Well, YouTube isn't as viable of a platform for content creators like it used to be, can see why Linus(and others) are branching out to Vessel, Facebook, etc.(not to mention better comment moderation, layout, and more). At least Linus still uploads on YouTube, its not like he(or us the viewers) are missing out on anything.

FB and Vessel are rough now, but they are getting better. I remember when YT was a steaming pile of shit... for years...

because Facebook views reach a lot more new audience than youtube does, youtube sub box is broken, the same video will have more views on fb sometimes

It will be good for making their brand more dominant, but yes, they wont be loosing money just like pirated games but they wont be gaining money from it either

Yes I get that. But I don't think Facebook is a good option next to Youtube and Vessel. I don't mind sharing a video through a link but uploading the whole video to Facebook... it seems a bit odd and since the majority of Facebook videos are stolen from Youtube (Like videos from unilad etc. etc.) and Facebook doing nothing about that problem I think we should just boycot Facebook as a video sharing platform.

I guess it really depends on the values of a content creator(since there are so many aspects). It could be that Linus uploads to FB since he's reaching out to a audience on 'all' platforms(rather than consolidating), and either way his videos will get stolen so "why even bother". Monetization from Google ads is barely a benefit anymore, so doing the "check out Squarspace"(or whatever) is what probably helps the most, which is independent of the distribution platform.(side note: do Facebook vids have a monetization option? I know Instagram does, its not bad).

I don't see how does it really matter where they post videos. In the end they get ad money both from video made and site its been viewed. More sites, more money.
