Don't get a 960. The R9 380 would be better. If you're gonna get the cheaper ones, though, get the GTX 950.

At 1080p, it doesent, infact, the 970 beats the 390 at some games at 1080p, however, when jumping to resolutions like 1440p, the 390 will usually be in the lead by around 7-15FPS.

Never said anything about futureproofing, and yes, the 390 wins in that aspect, but saying it simply outperforms the 970 isnt true.

True and then the 970 is often also easily overclockable. It's not really a problem to let it run 200Mhz higher than its standard clock.

I recomend the r9 390 over the gtx 970 becuase of that, i don't buy new gpus every one or two years, and i know a lot of people don't

You just blatantly said "The 970 Is Worse Than The 390", you need to define the aspects of which it is better

Maxwell is a great overclocker, but the clock speed effect only comes into play with the 980 Ti. Especially with the 970, it's not a big deal that you can get a 500+ MHz overclock.
