projector help for weeaboo crib

Octavialicious

hey all, I'm making a crib for crunchyroll and the like but I'm a noob to projectors. Pretty sure I need speakers, but I'm unsure which type to use. I'm using this projector

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VJ3JVK2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_9&smid=A1N4QJ9BR1MAIF

I was thinking of getting simple ones that are powered by usb and get the signal to usb, would that work? ty :D

Are you asking advice on the projector or speakers?  :)  Personally I would never use the speaker from my projector. The small tweeter they put inside can never give a decent audio quality imho...

Looking at this projector of this brightness level in general, you should make sure that you have no daylight entering or the lights turned on when you're looking to a movie. 800Alm (on the box) is way to limited to watch something with some form of ambient light in the room (eg. curtains open). I you're unable to make the room all dark, I would search for a projector in the region of 1500-2000 Alm, but they don't have those with LED's yet. Also with only a resolution of 800x480, you should not expect a very high quality picture.

In conclusion: You might ask yourself the question if it is even possible to buy a decent projector for 100$??

When I'm looking for a projector I use a site like projector-central (http://www.projectorcentral.com) to help and guide me.

Good luck with you search.

Would these work too? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZH98LU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_5&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER does it have to get signal from the 3.5mm jack, or could it just get usb signal?

yea, the weaboo crib is going to be on top of a loft, and every side of it is going to be covered in black dark drapes so the only light will be from the projector :D thanks for the long and detailed post :)

The thing with those usb only speakers is, that they have a sound card in them and I have no idea if the projector supports that sound card. You'd have to look that up in the manual which I can't find online.

Molex to SATA, lose all your data

not gonna lie. thats a really cheap projector. youll probably get power over usb but not audio. better off with getting some cheap logitech desk speakers or something.
