Firefox uses too much RAM

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

It uses more ram if you have more available. That's how it works for other browsers as well.

I was looking in resource monitor, and i saw that firefox took up a ton of RAM.

Right now, i have two windows open. One with 6 tabs, the other with 3. They are things like twitter, google plus, gmail, ect. Nothing too memory intensive, but Firefox is using 1.4 GIGABYTES of available memory.

I have 8GB installed so im not too worried about it, but it is bothering me. Is there any quick fix?

It's odd. I had like 20 tabs open on Firefox, along with 4 different add ons, and Firefox consumed 611MB(average).
