I have a 3770k that refuses to overclock. I thought it was my motherboard, so I bought a used one off eBay and it wouldn't work, so I sent it back. Bought a brand new Asrock Z77 Extreme4 to try and it won't get past 3.9 GHz. I have tried 3 different power supplies, 2 different sticks of RAM, 3 different Mobos, and 3 different GPU's. The only thing that remains the same is the SSD, the HDD, the heatsink, and the case. I literally have no idea as to why it won't overclock. It runs fine on auto, and I can manually set it to 3.9 GHz, but nothing after that works. I have tried putting 1.35V into 4.0 GHz just in case it was the worst bin ever, and still BSOD's. Most of the overclocks won't get into Windows, but occasionally it will load and I can open RealBench and then it will BSOD. I am completely lost. Has anyone heard of an issue like this?

I know how to overclock, my 3570k is at 4.5 Ghz. I am using the multiplier and not bclk. I'm sure it is a K version.

I'm going to assume it's an issue with the Bios compatibility with the CPU and are you absolutely 100% certain it's a K CPU?

I'm playing my Xbone on 3 LG Curved monitors-No one ever

2: Temps?

3: Bios is up to date?

4: Are you putting voltage on manual? Running adaptive / offset may screw you over.

1 trillion percent. I have put it into 3 motherboards in the past 2 weeks. I am sure. The Asrock is running the newest BIOS which is 2.90. I thought it was my G Skill sniper RAM but I tried a known good stick of some Corsair LP and same issue.

Temps are normal, 60s under full load at stock. Bios is newest version and I have tried both manual and offset, neither of which work.
