Hi forum! :)

I have really old PC, it was bought in 2007 I think, specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+

2048MB RAM

ATI Radeon 5570 (Gigabyte version)

ASUS M2N-E-SLI

Codegen 400W PSU

It runs some games that i really like, for example MW3, MW2, COD4, Cs 1.6, CSS and so on, games, that dont require a really good computer, but I run them on low to medium settings. But today I saw COD: Ghosts gameplay, prolly i`ll get some hate, but it blew me off :D. I really want to play Ghosts when it comes out, but i know, that my PC wont run it. As if now, I don`t have a lot of money, i am 15 years old, cant find even summer job, and i don`t want to ask my mom money, couse I want to build a PC on my own :). Like I said i don`t have a lot of cash so there is no way I could build beast rig. So forum people, do you have any advices? Maybe I should upgrade this DDR2 system? Or buy cheap DDR3 motherboard and build something on it? Any piece of advice would be great :)

But I live in Lithuania, so prices may be different :/

What's your actual budget/currency?

Where are you shopping from?

Shipping and other fees would make that more expensive.

Here's what I came up with:

CPU: FX 6300

https://www.varle.lt/procesoriai/procesorius-amd-fx-6300-socket-am3-64bit-35ghz.html 390 Lt

Mobo: GA-78LMT-S2P

https://www.varle.lt/pagrindines-plokstes/pagrindine-plokste-amd-gigabyte-ga-78lmt-s2p-760g--323171.html 141 Lt

Ram: Crucial 8GB CL10 1600

https://www.varle.lt/atmintys-ram/crucial-udimm-8gb-240-pin-ddr3-1600-pc3-12800-non-ecc.html 207 Lt

HDD: Barracuda 1TB

https://www.varle.lt/kietieji-diskai/hdd-sata-1tb-7200rpm-6gbs64mb-st1000dm003-seagate.html 211 Lt

GPU: Gigabyte 7770

https://www.varle.lt/vaizdo-plokstes/gigabyte-radeon-hd-7770-1gb-ddr5-128-bit-hdmi--178146.html 320 Lt

Case: PS08B

https://www.varle.lt/korpusai/silverstone-precision-ps08b-mini-tower-usb-30.html 117

PSU: cx430

https://www.varle.lt/maitinimo-blokai/psu-corsair-cx-430w-80-plus-bronze-120mm.html 157

Total: 1543 Lt

This. Only this I would change is if you need to cut back go for 4gb and if you really really need to cut back change the case or the CPU. The fx 6300 is one of the best CPUs out for price/performance and amd CPUs will be getting optimised when the next gen consoles come out giving it good gaming performance by using all dem cores.

It does not make a difference that my hdd is a little bit old? its not ancient :D, but i want to know if i still can connect my hdd to my new motherboard?

It should still work granted it uses sata. A newer one would probably be faster though.

~600$

A Richland system could also be an option but then again a dedicated card is better.

CPU: Ryzen 7-3700x 4.4GHz, MB: ASUS PRIME B450M-AGPU: SAPPHIRE RX 590, RAM: 16GB Corsair 3200MHz, SSD: 480GB Kingston HDD: 2TB WD Green, CHASSIS: CoolerMaster HAF 912, PSU: CoolerMaster Thunder 700W, COOLERHyper 212 Black Edition
