Get 8GB of RAM, there's no reason to go with 16GB for a gaming system. Also, get an R9 390, not a 970. It outperforms a 970 in all benchmarks. Also, what the hell do you need an optical drive for, let alone a fucking Blu Ray? Change the PSU to an EVGA B2 or G2 unit and you should be good.

Swap the 970 for a 390, same price, better all around performance, and more than double the vram.

Get the OS from g2a or microsoftsoftwareswap on reddit, for 1/5th the price and that same legit copy.

I'd advise a Xeon E3 1231v3 over the 4690k. unless you overclock the snot out of the 4690k then you will see virtually no difference in performance in games over the Xeon, and the Xeon performs better by a large amount in multitasking, and games capable of using more than 4 threads.

There isn't a real need to. you save 3% on the total build cost, but there will be times when 8gb isn't enough if you want to do any decent multitasking.

That's still 50 dollars that could be used somewhere else.

Yes, but there isn't anywhere else better to put it in this build.

Needs a copy of windows that's 25$, not this 140$ Bullshit, who buys the pro version anyway.

Pro version allows you to delay updates if you so choose, but he can get it a lot cheaper either way

So sacrifice speed and reliability, for 10$ and a extra 1tb.

attachicon.gif1886670033.jpg

as far as I've heard they are just as reliable/unreliable as each other. some people have had multiple WD drives fail.
