Ssd works on sata 2 speed instead sata 3

acolis

I bought a notebook Fujitsu lifebook a544 and replaced the HDD with Samsung 850 Evo.

In speccy it shows the sata port max speed works on 6Gb's speed but in magician software it shows it work on sata 2 speed.

You might be using a sata II cable. Is it a cable connector, or slot design?

Yeah, but I'm also trying to figure out what kind of port OP plugged it into.

Considering the age of this laptop(it's not old), it should be running at SATAIII unless it supports two drives and the second space is SATAII. Laptops do not use cables.
