Would I see Gaming Difference if I switch to Intel?

Hello I am currently running AMD Quad Core FM2 processor with R9 270X and I was wondering would I see a gaming performance increase if I switch over to Intel Quad Core Processor and still using the same video card.  I welcome the advice and thank you for viewing my post I hope to get a good answer because I want to upgrade my system.

Your current parts are a good match, you ain't gonna see major improvements until you upgrade both your CPU and GPU when it comes to modern AAA titles.

But if you're into MMORPG's and RTS games i could imagine many of them being CPU bound on your current setup and probably a lot of badly optimised games are putting too much load on your CPU and a stronger intel CPU would defenetly help in such circumstances.

It will also depend on settings and screen resolution and how bad the 270X is being stressed...you know.

But your GPU is weak if you want to play the latest visualy impressive titles you'd greatly benefit from a stronger GPU as well.

I would say no since your GPU isn't that great.

Staying with your GPU and APU in crossfire (Assuming you can, I don't know) and not getting a better GPU may get a higher framerate in some games but lower in other games.

And going with the i5 would do the same thing too!

When I got my 280, the 270x was more expensive than the 280.

My current games I play Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, GTA V, Battlefield 4/Hardline and my current monitor is a 1 ms gaming monitor that only does 1080p.

Which AMD chip exactly are you using? That's important

It depends on what chip you're going from and going to. If you upgraded to a modern i5 then most likely yes. However...AMD does have some steam left and can go against an i3 for a lower price point. I'm going to be more interested in this when DX12 actually starts to matter.

Pretty much this - if he's going from a Phenom II X4 to an i3 it's a downgrade more than an upgrade.
