I really miss the old forum game, the turn based WWII simulator.

 

I want to bring back some sort of turn based world war sim, but I also want to avoid the issue that killed the last two:

the requirement of a DM.

 

so, I propose we devise a system of honor, where out of turn moves are ignored and unrealistic advancements are denied.

 

however, I am just one man, and cannot hope to plan this all out on my own.

 

that said, let's design ourselves a forum war game!

so here's my idea. each player gets to claim one hex to start with, and may choose any colour.

to gain land, it must be connected on at least one edge to your hex, (ignoring gaps such as ocean or river)

 

You can pass a capture turn to upgrade any of your two stats by one (attack or defense), which comes into play when trying to capture or defend territory from another player.

 

Sounds simple enough, and it's up to the community to make sure no one does any funny business.

 

also, when the thread starts, I suggest constant refreshes and plenty of patience, so that the map remains as accurate as possible.

In the Winter war 140 men ambushed Russians, killed around 750 men and withdraw leaving panicking Russians kill each other. We had a long discussion concerning about Russia and we decided that they're not worth the effort. Estonia has supplemented our taste for alcohol by selling nearly third of their production to us, so allying with them would provide public support for our cause.
