I'm looking for good gsming monitors and I saw AOC I just wanted to know if they are a reputible company.

Current System: CPU - I5-6500 | Motherboard - ASRock H170M-ITX/ac | RAM - Mushkin Blackline 16GB DDR4 @ 2400mHz | GPU - EVGA 1060 3GB | Case - Fractal Design Nano S | Storage - 250GB 850 EVO, 3TB Barracuda | PSU - EVGA 450W 80+ Bronze | Display - AOC 22" 1080p IPS | Cooling - Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BK | Keyboard - Cooler Master QuickFire Rapid(MX Blues) | Mouse - Logitech G602 | Sound - Schiit Stack | Operating System - Windows 10

 

The OG System: I3-2370M @ 2.4 GHz, 750GB 5400 RPM HDD, 8GB RAM @1333Mhz, Lenovo Z580 Laptop (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS).

 

Peripherals: G602, AKG 240, Sennheiser HD 6XX, Audio-Technica 2500, Oneplus 5T, Odroid C2(NAS).

The panels in hem are the same as you'll find in other monitors, just with their branding, casing, and firmware.

You're pretty safe with AOC, not the best for gaming though.

If you're going 60hz and TN as a value option, you can really go with any monitor and have the same experience.

But if you wanna game, and you have big bucks, the BenQ 120hz+ monitors or the asus 144hz variant are top notch!

I prefer Asus, Dell, or Samsung when it comes to monitors.

 

But AOC tends to be budget friendly at times.

i have their 21,5'' monitor and for the price its great

I like the look of most of their monitors and I haven't heard anything about them being unreliable.  They put the display controllers in the stand base on a few of their displays though which means you can't remove the stand for mounting.

AOC's IPS monitors are good in terms of colour, image quality and even response times. Their AH-IPS monitors are in fact good for gaming as well with little motion blur.

 

The problem with AOC's is the build quality. They just feel cheap and flimsy. Also most of them don't have DVI or displayport.
