mined coins... turned cash, and now trouble.

Hey guys after a long time of mining coins, Im am finnally ready to cash out what i have. unfortunately all my Bitcoins are in Mt. Gox. And I have heard that Mt. Gox is having a lot of trouble with USD withdrawals. Has anyone here had a successful mt.gox withdraw in the last month or so? because im really scared to hit that withdraw button. I have quite a bit of money over there.

I have no experience with MT. Gox, I have heard the rumors of possible insolvency, but no proof has been seen either way to back them up. They are very poor with PR and community communications so it's hard to say whats happening. It does sound like they are delays with withdrawing USD funds. Remember the shouting of a few angry people grossly outweigh the quiet nature of the pleased or content masses.

You could just wait it out, see what happens, wait for updates or rumors to die down. They are in the process of implementing an entirely new trading platform.

Another option would be to buy back into the bitcoins and transfer the bitcoins to a different exchange or sell them locally though localbitcoins.com

I think the only issue is with the USD, if you were to cash out in another currency such as CAD and wire that to your bank account, it might work easier but would likely get massively taxed for exchanging funds into USD through your bank.

And I think one of the best options is to just use the bitcoins as the currency they are intended for. You can buy nearly everything using bitcoins these days.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I do all my USD withdraw's though http://campbx.com It's a U.S based exchange. Done 10+ withdraw's to my checking account over last 3 months and every one has been flawless and got my money in 3-4 days. I would just send the coins to them and cash out.
