Backup only hard drive

I would like to get an external drive to back up ONLY the stuff on my hard drive. My ssd is my boot drive. I was thinking WD but idk if the software they use lets me choose what drive to back up.

I like LaCie. They generally have faster speeds.

or you can just use windows backup which does basically the same thing

both WD backup and windows backup let you choose what to back up :)

my lacie 500 Gb (usb 3.0) drive cost me 50 euros and it delivers 60 MB/s is that good or nah?

I think so? I remember when I was researching my LaCie 2TB external one of the reasons I got it was that when tested it delivered the most throughput for similar devices.

That, and the sexy aluminium case.
